1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using WorkFromCafé (“the platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Description of service

WorkFromCafé is a directory of worker-friendly locations — including cafés, restaurants, and bookstores (“Locations”) — in Auckland, New Zealand. We provide information about Location amenities and features to help people find suitable places to work remotely. Full Location details and platform features require a Google sign-in. As the platform is in active development, features may change or be discontinued.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use WorkFromCafé. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

4. User accounts

You must sign in with a valid Google account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

5. User-submitted content

By submitting content — such as indicating when you plan to visit a Location, or providing optional feedback — you grant WorkFromCafé a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content on the platform. You warrant that your submissions are accurate and do not violate any third-party rights.

When you indicate that you plan to visit a Location, that Location's owner receives a daily summary email containing aggregate figures — including how many people have indicated they plan to visit that day. Individual account details such as your name are not shared in these summaries. Optional feedback you provide (for example, when indicating you do not plan to visit a Location) may appear in anonymised, aggregated form in summaries sent to that Location's owner. We do not share feedback in a way that identifies you personally. Once aggregate data has been shared with a Location owner, WorkFromCafé does not control how they store or use it.

We reserve the right to remove any content that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be inaccurate, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate.

6. Accuracy of Location information

Every Location is personally reviewed before being listed, however details such as hours, wifi availability, and policies may change. We make no guarantee that information is current or accurate at the time of your visit. Always confirm directly with the Location.

7. Intellectual property

All content, design, and code on the platform (excluding user-submitted content and content provided by or licensed from third parties) is the property of Juna Design Ltd and may not be reproduced without permission.

8. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Juna Design Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

10. Privacy

Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by prominent notice on the platform before they take effect. Continued use after that notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Termination

WorkFromCafé reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, including for breach of these terms or misuse of the platform. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. We will handle any retained personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
